Are the protective bottom grids dishwasher safe?

The sink grids can be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, the rubber bumpers may come off during the wash cycle. We recommend removing the bumpers before placing the grid in the dishwasher. The bumpers can be cleaned separately by soaking them in a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar to remove any buildup or residue.

Do the workstation items (cutting board, drying rack, and bin) work with this model?

The extra space is required for the installation clips. Each clip is about 1 1/2" long, they go on each sides.

How do I install an InSinkErator Badger 500 garbage disposal using the basket drain assembly?

You cannot connect a garbage disposal to the drain that comes with the sink. In order to use a garbage disposal you will need a flange. We sell one that matches the sink, part RVA1049ST. The drain opening is a universal size therefore you could also use the flange that comes with your garbage disposal.

This sink is not a workstation sink, so you can't use accessories such as cutting boards or colanders in it. Our workstation sinks have ledges built into the sink bowl that accessories can rest on. However, you can use the RVA1340 drying rack , which is 20.5" x 13.5" and rests on the counter in front of and behind the sink.
