This model is not available with a 40/60 split. The RVH8306 may work better for you.
Can my installer drill an additional faucet hole without destroying the integrity of the sink?
Your installer can drill additional faucet holes if needed. However, this does void the warranty.

Do you have to cut out the rinse drain?
The drain hole comes pre drilled already, as well as the faucet hole. There is no need to cut anything else in the sink.
